How To Create An Effective Customer Service/Support Plan For Your Business How To Create An Effective Customer Service/Support Plan For Your Business

Another Wednesday, another Redefining Barter Blog post! This week's blog is all about building brand trust and customer loyalty through the creation of a customer service/support plan for your business...

Making customer service and support a priority for your business in person, online and via social media is necessary as it allows your business to turn unhappy customers or a bad experience into a good one and oftentimes leads to creating more loyal customers as well! Some mistakes, things going wrong, off days, bad customer experiences, etc are normal and unavoidable in a business - but how you handle these events is what says the most about your business and its brand. ⁣

Instead of letting a customer leave with a bad experience, try one or more of these tips:

-If you are there when a situation arises, take the customer aside and give them the time to speak their mind and give your business some constructive criticism in a respectful manner so that you can try to assess the situation and find a solution that would solve the issue for you and the customer, ensuring they don't leave feeling upset

-Inviting them to come back another time and enjoy a complimentary product or service to give your business another try ⁣

- Simply asking if there is any way to make their experience better this time or going forward ⁣

- Have an email address or phone number that the customer can use to contact you about a situation ⁣if you aren't present when the issue occurs

-Record customer service calls and/or your brick and mortar store to analyze the recordings/footage and use this as material for your staff to learn what to do and what not to do in difficult situations.

By using these methods to handle unhappy customers, you'll not only turn negative situations into positive ones but ⁣build brand trust and loyalty for your business at the same time! ⁣Try out these methods to build your own customized customer service plan for you and your staff to use in a multitude of difficult situations.
