How To Create Great Email Campaigns How To Create Great Email Campaigns
Welcome back to the Redefining Barter Blog - today we're talking about Email Marketing campaigns!

When was the last time you looked at things like your open rates? Or even sent an email to your clients (past or present)? Have you been struggling with how to reach them? Then keep on reading for some great tips on how to improve your email messaging:

Try making it personal: Jumpstart long-term relationships with your customers by using their name, and customizing your offer to suit their needs and wants. Look up where they work on LinkedIn, engage with them in Facebook groups or on Instagram and try to find a need they have that your product or service can fill.

Learn how to drip & nurture: There are two major types of email campaigns that each serve different purposes. Knowing how and when to use them will help you keep your message on target and allow potential buyers to get the most out of your emails. The two major types of campaigns are;

  1. Drip campaigns: are designed to engage prospects to buy through a series of scheduled messages.

  1. Nurture campaigns: are designed to develop relationships with prospects, potential and repeat customers.

To best utilize these - asses the content that you would like to put into an email. Ask yourself which way you think your customers would like to receive this information and pick 1 of the 2 formats to use as a template and fill it in with your copy!

Write great subject lines: Between 30-40% of people open emails based on the subject line alone! To write great ones, try out some of these tips:

Do: Use the recipient's name

Do: Use "Power Words" like "hurry", "now", expiring", "go"

Do: Test & preview how it will look

Don't: Use all capital letters (A few words written in capital letters are fine, but try and keep them for important information only!)

Perfect your copy: Accomplish this by keeping sentences under 25 words, and paragraphs under three sentences, and get to the point - don't write more than you need to to get your point across. Make sure your copy is grammatically/structurally sound by giving it a final edit or plugging it into a site like Grammarly to help fix any mistakes you might have missed. Try to always include one clear call-to-action and repeat it in multiple places throughout the email!

Always offer value: Make sure your offer is of high quality. If you wouldn't buy it, your customer won't either. When talking about your product or service, always focus on the BENEFITS, or the problem/need your product or service will fix/fill for them, not the features.

By combining these tips you can easily revamp your email marketing campaign and allow your content to reach your audience in an improved and easily digestible way.
